Battery Materials Engineer / Senior Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and optimize anode, cathode, and electrolyte materials for lithium-ion or solid-state batteries
  • Support materials characterization, electrode fabrication, and cell assembly/testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on battery performance evaluation and failure analysis
  • Assist in scale-up and technology transfer to pilot or production lines
  • Maintain lab records, write technical reports, and present findings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • MS or BS in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; PhD is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in battery materials research and development
  • Solid understanding of electrochemical principles, battery chemistry, and materials interface behavior
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • Slurry preparation, electrode coating, and coin/pouch cell assembly
    • SEM, XRD, TGA/DSC, ICP, and electrochemical testing (CV, EIS, charge/discharge cycling)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced R&D environment

Battery Production Supervisor
Job Number: 2307
Location: On-site

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily operations of lithium-ion or solid-state battery production lines
  • Supervise key manufacturing processes including electrode preparation, electrolyte filling, sealing, and packaging
  • Coordinate with process engineering, quality assurance, and equipment teams to ensure production efficiency and product consistency
  • Train, manage, and motivate production staff to maintain a safe and productive work environment
  • Monitor critical process parameters and equipment performance; participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate production records, process reports, and SOP documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in lithium battery manufacturing; supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Familiarity with battery production equipment and processes (coating, calendaring, stacking/winding, electrolyte filling, sealing)
  • Knowledge of ISO or equivalent quality management systems; experience with standardized production and 5S management is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to on-site issues
  • Effective communication and leadership skills; team-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to work in shifts or flexible schedules, including night shifts if required
